The Omu Anioma, Her Royal Majesty (HRM), Obi Dr. Martha Dunkwu, made the resounding acknowledgement via Anioma Voice, a Facebook platform with over 52, 000 members which cut across Delta North Senatorial District of the state.
Ọmụ Dunkwu who doubles as the Ọmụ of Okpanam Community, Oshimili north local government area of the state, expressed her satisfaction with the job done by the DG, in giving a facelift to the capital city.
Responding to a post by the DG shared on Anioma Voice, Ọmụ Anioma said: “Yes you are right Honourable. Though I am an adherent of Traditional African Religion, I think what you have said is in Ecclesiastes 9:11. However, the Holy Bible also says “I will bless the work of your hands”.
“It didn’t say that I will bless nothing. Therefore, we all must work hard before God can bless us.
Speaking further, the Nne-Oha, Mother of all, who cited Proverbs, said: “a little sleep, a little folding of the hands to rest and hunger will come knocking like a thief at night”. God Almighty worked for six days and rested only for one day.
She made a reference to the American Robert Greene, who said: “The one who speaks the truth and does the right thing is usually despised but that posterity will put that person on the positive side of history.
The Royal mother capped her beautiful comment with a quote from the famous philosopher, Aristotle, “A life of action is superior to a life of passive amusement”, insisting, “You have done exceedingly well. Keep moving forward. The sky is not even your limit. Congratulations. May God’s favour continue to be with you”, she added.
