A young man from Okpe Kingdom in Delta State, Mr. Lucky Dotie, is making a heartfelt appeal for urgent financial assistance as he fights for his life after being diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure.

According to his family, both of Lucky’s kidneys have failed, leaving him in critical need of an immediate kidney transplant.

Medical experts have reportedly estimated the cost of the transplant and post-operative care at between ₦40 million and ₦70 million, an amount the family says is far beyond its financial capacity.

The situation took a more distressing turn after Lucky was discharged from Capitol Hill Hospital in Warri on Saturday because his family could no longer cope with the mounting medical bills.

Describing the development as heartbreaking, family members said they are now relying on the compassion of well-meaning Nigerians to give the young man another chance at life.

Lucky is the grandson of the late Mr. Dotie William Esiekpe of Oviri Okpe, a respected former Headmaster of Mosogar Primary School.

During his years of service, the late educator relocated his family to Mosogar, where they have continued to reside in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State.

The family has appealed to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Orodje of Okpe, political leaders, corporate organisations, philanthropists, community associations, and compassionate individuals across Delta State and beyond to come to Lucky’s rescue.

They stressed that no contribution is too small, noting that donations of ₦1,000, ₦2,000, ₦5,000, or any amount, could collectively make the difference between life and death.

“We are pleading with everyone to help us save Lucky. Every donation, every prayer, and every shared message brings us closer to giving him another opportunity to live,” the family said.

Donations can be made through the following accounts:

Account Name: Dotie Lucky
Bank: Moniepoint Microfinance Bank
Account Number: 6574979475

Account Name: Dotie Lucky
Bank: OPay
Account Number: 8164588572

For further enquiries or verification, the family can be reached on +234 816 458 8572.

As the race against time continues, the family remains hopeful that the generosity of kind-hearted Nigerians will help raise the funds needed for the lifesaving transplant and restore hope to a young man whose future now depends on the compassion of others.
