About 48 hours after the boat accident that claimed five members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Okerenkoko, Warri south west local government area of Delta State, investigations have revealed the cause of the boat accident.
An eyewitness on Thursday December 22nd disclosed that those on the board the boat were allegedly drunk, which caused the mishap.
The source said the occupants of the boat were carried away with the fun that was associated with the adventure.
It was gathered that the victims who were under the influence of alcohol, staggered on the boat before it finally capsized.
Meanwhile, the impeccable source, revealed that the figures given by the party as those who died was untrue, saying about nine persons died in the boat mishap.
It would be recall that Omo-Agege’s Campaign trail was returning to Warri from Okerenkoko, when the ugly incident occurred.
