High Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, widely known as Tompolo, has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office, describing the president as a “visionary and transformational leader” whose administration deserves continuity beyond 2027.
The endorsement came through a goodwill message delivered on Tompolo’s behalf by Mr. Edgar Daniel Biu at the World Press Conference of the PBAT Door-To-Door Movement, held at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja.
Tompolo applauded the Tinubu administration for what he called “bold economic reforms” that have stabilized the national economy, improved the ease of doing business, and laid the groundwork for shared national prosperity.
He emphasized that the president’s policy direction has not only averted economic collapse but also reinforced investor confidence across critical sectors.
Praise for Niger Delta Peace and Anti-Oil Theft Drive
The ex-militant leader particularly noted the sustained peace and stability in the Niger Delta, attributing it to President Tinubu’s commitment to regional development and security.
According to him, decisive government action against oil theft, pipeline sabotage, and maritime crime has revitalized the oil and gas sector while empowering local communities.
“The president’s unwavering stance against crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism has restored confidence in our economy and protected our national assets,” the message read.
Tompolo further expressed optimism that President Tinubu would build on these gains if given a renewed mandate in 2027, urging citizens to look beyond partisanship and focus on the nation’s broader developmental goals.
Mobilizing Grassroots Support for 2027
He also threw his full support behind the PBAT Door-To-Door Movement, a nationwide initiative aimed at galvanizing grassroots support for Tinubu’s re-election.
Calling for unity and dedication among members, Tompolo declared:
“This mission is noble and necessary. We must stay committed to its objectives. Together, we will succeed, we cannot afford to fail.”
The PBAT Door-To-Door Movement is expected to expand its reach in the coming months, engaging citizens in town halls, grassroots forums, and advocacy campaigns geared toward sustaining momentum for the president’s second-term bid.
