The Delta State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has commenced the distribution of 1,000 units of high-quality two-seater classroom furniture to selected public basic schools across the state, in a fresh push by the Oborevwori administration to enhance learning conditions and strengthen educational infrastructure.

The furniture, produced using High-Density Fiberboard (HDF) specifications, forms part of ongoing measures by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to provide safe, comfortable and properly equipped learning environments for pupils and students.

Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Hon. Samuel Mariere, said the benefiting schools were identified through a statewide assessment of classroom needs, adding that the intervention aligns with the Governor’s commitment to raising the standard of basic education in Delta State.

According to him, the distribution marks another milestone in the government’s steady investment in school infrastructure, with more schools expected to benefit in subsequent phases of the furniture development programme.

Hon. Mariere, a two-term former member of the Delta State House of Assembly and immediate past Commissioner for Water Resources Development, reaffirmed SUBEB’s dedication to improving basic-education infrastructure and enhancing teaching and learning across the state.
