…Onyeme Targets Over 80 Per Cent Votes For Tinubu, APC Candidates

Former Delta State Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Delta North Senatorial District, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has called on the people of Ndokwa to embrace unity and mobilise massive electoral support for President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

Okowa made the call on Saturday during a reconciliation meeting with aggrieved APC members led by Chief Dennis Okoh at Ibabu, Onicha-Ukwuani, in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.

The meeting, convened by the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, brought together aggrieved party members and other stakeholders in a renewed effort to reconcile differences and strengthen the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.

Addressing the gathering, Okowa described reconciliation among party members as essential to political progress, commending Onyeme for facilitating the meeting and Okoh for helping to bridge divisions within the party.

“It is very, very good when brothers reconcile,” the former governor said, stressing that political disagreements should ultimately give way to understanding and collective action.

He urged party faithful to rally behind the Deputy Governor, whom he described as the highest-ranking political office-holder in Delta North and the second-highest in Delta State, insisting that the region should demonstrate its support through an impressive electoral performance.

According to Okowa, the reconciliation of previously divided members would strengthen the party’s grassroots mobilisation and improve its chances of securing overwhelming votes across Ndokwa and the wider Delta North Senatorial District.

“We must pour our hearts out in full to work for the APC; if you all put your minds to work, there is no way that you will not deliver the highest number of votes,” he said.

The former governor expressed confidence in the electoral prospects of President Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in 2027, urging Ndokwa political leaders to embrace inclusive politics, accessibility and broader engagement to attract more supporters.

He maintained that unity and sustained grassroots mobilisation would be crucial to the party’s success at the polls.

Earlier, Onyeme expressed optimism that the reconciliation would translate into a united political front capable of delivering substantial votes for the APC in 2027.

He described the Ndokwa people as numerous, peaceful and richly endowed with oil resources, arguing that their numerical strength should be reflected in their electoral contribution to the party.

The Deputy Governor disclosed that Ndokwa West had more than 100,000 registered voters, expressing confidence that the area could deliver over 80 per cent of its votes to the APC if members remained united and fully committed to the party’s campaign.

Onyeme also pointed to anticipated activities at the Kwale Free Trade Zone in 2027, urging the people to take the forthcoming elections seriously and consider their potential implications for development in the area.

“The Free Trade Zone, Kwale, will witness a lot of activities next year; so, let us take the 2027 elections personally,” he said.

He further argued that massive electoral support for Tinubu and other APC candidates would serve the interests of the Ndokwa people by strengthening the prospects of attracting more development to their communities.

“It is better that they call me the most loyal Deputy Governor than the most stubborn Deputy Governor,” Onyeme added, underscoring his commitment to party loyalty and collective political objectives.

Also speaking, the APC Chairman in Delta North, Engr. Dan Ossai, welcomed the reconciliation, expressing satisfaction that the meeting had helped resolve disagreements among party members.

Ossai urged the stakeholders to sustain the newfound unity and work towards delivering more than 70,000 votes for the APC in Ndokwa West during the 2027 general elections.

In his remarks, Okoh, who led the aggrieved members, described the meeting as a demonstration of renewed understanding and togetherness within the party.

“What we are seeing here today is oneness; we disagree to agree, and today, we have reconciled to work together as one people,” he said.

The reconciliation meeting is expected to strengthen cooperation among APC stakeholders in Ndokwa West as the party intensifies efforts to consolidate its political base ahead of the 2027 general elections.
