Okowa Plugs Delta Into More Debt With N266.7 Billion New Loan

Barely five months to the expiration of the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration in Delta State, the debt profile of the state has rose from N378 billion to N657 billion with the latest approval by the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), under Sheriff Oborevwori, a stooge of Okowa, to borrow a whooping sum of N266.7 billion in less than seven months after the government obtained a N175 billion loan, which it claimed would be spent on some key projects.

The publisher of SecretReporyers, Fejiro Oliver, said before Okowa would finally leave as governor, the debt profile of the state, may stand at N1 trillion if nothing was done about the borrowing sprees of the state under Okowa.

Fejiro Oliver, in a facebook post he christen ‘Cry yourself Rivers of blood Deltans”, revealed that the N266.7 billion would be spent in just 11 days.

Meanwhile, the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in Delta State and largest private investor, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, OON has warned commercial banks operating in the state to stop further loaning of more monies to the outgoing Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), government led by Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

He warned the banks not to connive with Okowa, whose administration ends in 2023, against mortgaging the future of the state by incurring additional loans to the already existing one running into billions of naira.

The warning is on the heels of alleged directive by the state governor through the state accountant general for all leading accounts in Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs), in the state to be moved to Premium Trust Bank purportedly operated by his family and friends.

Gbagi raised the alarm on Saturday November 26th 2022, at a town hall meeting with Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), in the three local government areas in Ndokwa nation comprising Ndokwa east, Ndokwa west and Ukwauni local governments in Obiaruko.

A governor took loan of N266.7 billion that will be spent in just 11 days in the name of supplementary budget

The loan was approved in 10 minutes record time

They had to do so

Why????

The Delta State House of Assembly who approved will collect 10% of that supplementary budget alleged a source to me.

Yes

Cool N26 billion to be shared among them

Each lawmaker is N800 million richer

N800 million to be used to prosecute election next year

Principal officers are N1.2 billion richer

If your lawmaker comes home for Christmas, your money is with him

He has no right to close his gate till election period

Delta State account bleeds… Okowa is on a merciless looting

Loans by him now stands at N657 billion

The highest in Nigeria

And when I say Okonkwo Judas Okowa, the betrayer of the South is no good

His dogs bail for my blood

Lemme be the lone voice shouting against this new loan

I won’t stop

Let history vindicate that in my time I shouted

I told the world and Deltans that Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa and his candidate MUST not be voted into power by Deltans

Else we are in for MORE loans disguised as supplementary budget

Else we are in for more cover up

Okowa seeks a man who will cover these monumental corruption and wanton looting

Just N350 billion more

And we hit the record of N1 trillion debt

And yes

Okowa will hit it… the signs are clear

Election na your mate?

Okowa is a bad boy 👦, a dangerous boy
