The atmosphere in Delta State is set to come alive with celebration as Hon. Chief Evangelist Charles Buluku, an aide to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, prepares to formally take his bride, Miss Faith Ogodo, in a colourful traditional marriage ceremony that promises to attract family members, friends, and dignitaries from across the state and beyond.

The traditional wedding, scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, will mark the union of two respected families, the family of Rev. Victor Adogbeji Ogodo of Amuogodo in Sapele and that of Pa. Evangelist Bernard Buluku Ewhi of the Akpivri family in Aladja in what is expected to be a memorable celebration of love, culture, and enduring family values.

According to the Invitation Card presented to The Story, the official announcement by the families, the ceremony will reflect the rich cultural heritage and traditional values of the people of Delta State.

The reception will be held at the Ufuoma Open Field, DSC Township, where guests are expected to gather in celebration of love, unity and family bonds.

The marriage represents the coming together of two respected families with deep roots in their respective communities. While the bride, Faith Ogodo, hails from the family of Rev. Victor Adogbeji Ogodo of Amuogodo in Sapele Local Government Area, the groom, Charles Buluku, is from the family of Pa. Evangelist Bernard Buluku Ewhi of the Akpivri family in Aladja Town, Udu Local Government Area, with additional family ties to Omosuomo Town in Ughelli South Local Government Area.

Family members describe the union as a celebration of faith, love and shared values, expressing gratitude for the journey that has led to the joyous milestone.

A toast message accompanying the invitation reflects the spiritual foundation of the union, noting that although the couple came from different backgrounds, love has united them, with prayers that their bond will continue to grow in strength and grace.

The ceremony is expected to attract prominent personalities, community leaders, relatives and friends who will gather to honour the couple and celebrate the beginning of their new life together.

Organisers say the event will not only mark a significant moment for the couple but will also showcase the enduring importance of cultural traditions, family unity and communal celebration in Delta State.
