Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has called on Nigerians to remain steadfast, united and committed to ongoing reforms, saying sustained efforts are necessary to achieve lasting development and prosperity.
Oborevwori made the call in his message to Nigerians to mark the 66th Independence Anniversary of the country.
The message, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome its current challenges and emerge stronger.
“There is hope on the horizon and brighter days ahead,” the governor said.
He urged Deltans to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, alongside his administration’s MORE Agenda, stressing that continuity and stability in governance were important to achieving sustainable development.
According to him, the Delta State Government is complementing federal efforts through investments in critical infrastructure, renewable energy, job creation and initiatives aimed at attracting foreign direct investment to the state.
Oborevwori said his administration remained committed to creating an environment capable of expanding economic opportunities and improving the standard of living of residents across Delta.
“There is light at the end of the tunnel,” the governor stated, urging Nigerians to remain patient, resilient and committed to the Nigerian project.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, promising to sustain the implementation of policies and programmes targeted at improving the welfare of citizens and expanding opportunities across the state.
The governor congratulated Nigerians, particularly Deltans, on the 66th Independence Anniversary and urged citizens to remain hopeful and united as the country continues its journey towards a more prosperous future.
