Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, on the occasion of his 68th birthday.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor described Emerhor as a distinguished Nigerian whose accomplishments in business, finance, and politics continue to inspire many across the nation.
Oborevwori extolled the Evwreni-born technocrat as an accomplished venture capitalist, turnaround expert, and first-class accountant, noting that his contributions to the banking and financial services industry remain exemplary.
He highlighted Emerhor’s national recognition, particularly his leadership roles as Managing Director of the defunct Crystal Bank and later First Atlantic Bank, where his professionalism and visionary leadership repositioned both institutions for sustainable growth.
While acknowledging their past political differences, the Governor commended Emerhor’s steadfast commitment to democratic ideals, grassroots development and constructive national engagement, describing him as a statesman of uncommon character.
He said: “As a politician, you have continued to work for the good of our party by providing leadership at various levels, especially in Ughelli North Local Government Area and Delta Central.
“Your passion for service, philanthropy and community development remains deeply commendable.”
Governor Oborevwori wished Emerhor continued good health, long life and greater accomplishments in his ongoing contributions to the development of Delta State and Nigeria.
