Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has applauded the Value Rebirth Centre Leadership School for its unwavering dedication to raising a new generation of visionary leaders through high-quality leadership training.
Represented by the Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Nyerhovwo Tonukari, at the institution’s 8th Annual Lecture and Graduation Ceremony in Warri, the governor hailed the school’s consistent efforts in equipping young people with the values, skills, and vision needed to drive societal transformation.
Describing the event as “a testament to the hard work and dedication” of students, faculty, and parents, Oborevwori noted that the Value Rebirth Centre had become “a veritable hub for grooming leaders of tomorrow.”
He urged the graduands to remember that leadership is defined not by titles or positions but by “character, vision, and the ability to inspire and influence others,” and encouraged them to remain true to the principles they acquired during their training.
“True leaders are not just born; they are made through dedication, hard work, and a willingness to learn.
“The knowledge and values you have gained here will serve as a strong foundation for your future,” the governor stated.
Prof. Tonukari also commended the institution’s management and staff for their “tireless efforts” in building leadership capacity for national development, adding that their work would continue to leave a lasting impact.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to educational excellence, Oborevwori emphasised that investment in education is an investment in Delta State’s future.
He pledged continued support for institutions and programmes that foster leadership, innovation, and societal advancement.
Congratulating the graduating class, the governor challenged them to become change-makers, innovators, and problem-solvers, “the kind our world so desperately needs.”
The ceremony, themed around rebirth and renewal, attracted distinguished guests, parents, and community leaders.
It celebrated the achievements of the graduating students while reinforcing the enduring journey of personal and leadership growth.
