The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, has celebrated the Chief Press Secretary to the Delta State Governor, Chief Sir Festus Ahon, describing him as a steadfast professional whose impact continues to elevate the practice of journalism in the state.
In a goodwill message signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, and the Acting Secretary, Comrade Josephine Omodior, the union commended Sir Ahon for his years of selfless service, dependability, and his admirable role as a bridge builder both within and outside the media landscape.
The NUJ noted that Sir Ahon has consistently demonstrated an outstanding commitment to peacebuilding, professional excellence, and the advancement of causes that uplift people and strengthen institutions.
His leadership style, the statement emphasised, has inspired many journalists and contributed significantly to the growth of the profession in Delta State.
“Sir Festus Ahon stands out as a leader who leads with integrity, compassion, and a deep sense of responsibility,” the statement read.
“His unwavering dedication to the public continues to leave a lasting impression on colleagues and all who encounter his work.”
As he marks his birthday, the NUJ Delta Council expressed heartfelt wishes for long life, robust health, and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
