The couple showed profound joy at their residence in Asaba while narrating their experiences to the guests who were present at the ceremony.
Pastor Ekeruche said, “When I got the news that my wife has put to bed, I didn’t know how best to expression my joy. I found myself showing several expressions at the same time. I danced, jumped, laughed and shouted profusely”.
He admonished everyone to always wait on God, adding that God made all things beautiful in his time, adding that every couple yet to have a child, should remain expectant, focused and committed to one another in marriage life.
Speaking, the Founder of Dominion Christian Center, Bishop Kenneth Ebolum, recounted his role as the clergy who wedded Pastor Ikechukwu and Esther 13 years ago.
He said: “Thirteen years ago, I wedded Pst. Ikechukwu Ekeruche to one of my daughters, beautiful Esther Ekeruche. For 13 years, they waited on God for a child. For 13 years they fasted and prayed. For 13 years, they remained faithful and committed to God and each other.”
“Truly, weeping may endure at night, but joy comes in the morning. Truly, God turns away captivity.”
The highlight of the ceremony was the naming of the baby as Okwanuzor Treasure Godsdelight Ekeruche by the presiding pastor.
