Hundreds of women and youths in the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Delta State have staged a grassroot sensitization and awareness rally to Agbarho Market in Ughelli north local government area of the State ahead of the 2023 Governorsh election.
The women, who took the peaceful rally round major locations in the market, on Thursday March 9th 2023, sang and danced to party songs while holding various banners and posters of His Excellency, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, the SDP gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming election.
The SDP women and youths did one-on-one engagement with traders and buyers just as they described the political rally as first among many others scheduled for the state.
The rally was organized to demonstrate women’s strength and number ahead of the election, the purpose was also to further rally support for the governorship candidate of the party during the election.
They told traders that the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), have failed but the candidate of SDP, would bring the desired change and development.
They told the market women that they have a lot of reasons to vote SDP.
