Governor Oborevwori Offers Condolences To Super Eagles Captain Wilfred Ndidi On His Father’s Passing

Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has expressed profound sadness over the death of Mr. Sunday Ndidi, father of Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi, who tragically lost his life in a road accident in Umunede, Ika North East Local Government Area.

In a condolence message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori described the loss as sudden and painful, noting that it represents a significant tragedy not only for the Ndidi family but also for the Umunede community and the entire Ika Nation.

The Governor extended his heartfelt sympathies to Wilfred Ndidi, the grieving family, and the inhabitants of Umunede, encouraging them to find comfort in the positive legacy left by the deceased.

According to reports, Mr. Sunday Ndidi, a retired military officer, tragically passed away in a road accident on Tuesday. He was transported to a hospital in Agbor, where he was later pronounced dead.

This unfortunate event has elicited widespread condolences, including from Wilfred Ndidi’s club, Besiktas, which acknowledged the incident in a statement on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.

Governor Oborevwori prayed for God’s strength for the family to endure this irreparable loss and for eternal peace for the soul of the departed.
