The need for the Ijaw Nation to speak with one voice has been reiterated by the immediate past President, Ijwa Youth Council (IYC), worldwide, Barr. Oweilaemi Pereotubo.

The former IYC boss, noted that the Ijaw Nation should blame themselves instead of President Muhammadu Buhari, for their woos.

He noted that as a people they would not be taken seriously unless they purge themselves of all forms of bitterness and eschew the “Pull Him Down Syndrome”, which has eaten deep into the system.

He assured that if the Ijaw Nation speaks with one voice, they would be a formidable force that other blocks in the country would rally round and reckon with.

Hear him: “How can we be this divided as a people in every fronts and expect President Buhari or the system to take us serious?

“We better purge ourselves of hate, blackmail, deceit, sycophancy, informants to secret agents, and worrisomely disunity and the pull him down syndrome.

“How do you expect Buhari to take you serious when you place your personal political affiliations above our collective cultural affinity and development?

Speaking further, he urged them to shun fighting each other and embrace themselves for a better Ijaw Nation.

Said him: “Ijaws are fighting each other wherever they find themselves in as much as they are not in the same political association.

“Unlike other regions that places their well-being and coexistence above their individual political parties and self aggrandizement. Emulate others before it is too late.

“I tell you for free, if the ijaw race is truly and or genuinely united, no leader born of a woman that will not reference us as a people in building an egalitarian society”, he stressed.
