All seemed not to be well with members of the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State over the crisis rocking it in the shorting out of some stalwarts in the just concluded primaries resulting in the discovering of discrepancies in the results submitted by Sheriff Oborevwori, the governorship candidate of the party in the 2023 election.
A supporter of the party in Ika south local government Area, Engr. Emma Mormah Chuks, has called on the party’s leadership to look inward and resolve the crisis that has sprang up in the party
Engr. Mormah, who is the Director-General, Delta Initiatives Organization, DIFO made the call in Asaba, disclosed that the crisis in the party would not do the party good, just as he reiterated the need for harmony.
He emphasized that, Delta PDP was well positioned to sustain her power, maintaining the opposition party was not ready to sustain the good deed of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s legacies, which he reiterated was laudable enough to give the party victory in the forthcoming general elections
Speaking further, he stated that, there was no need for the crisis in the party, maintaining that, the crisis in the party may scuttle the chances of the landslides victory which all had worked for, just as he calls on the leadership to settle whatever differences that may have sprang up during and after the party’s primaries
His words, “I am calling on the party’s leadership to look inward and resolve whatever differences that may have emanated during the party’s primaries both at state and federal level”.
He insisted that the party’s should be focused more on the almost goal which is to win all elections and rescue Nigeria in all honesty and fairness.
Another respondent, with the name Lizziano Ventures on Facebook, who said she is a diehard PDP member, equally expressed her fears.

“We should not forget the ijaws gave us the highest vote in the last general elections,don’t ever underestimate the powers of the ijaws in politics. PDP needs to come together as one. The Bible said, if possible we should leave In Peace with all Men. Sometimes the best solution in Life is to Stoop to Conquer.
“This should be a wake up call for all pdp grassroots politicians in delta. We need to put our house together I did not find it funny when I saw a post written by James Ebiowou Manager saying,the party is going down by the day, God forbid. but can we give peace a chance from the top to the bottom?
“Can our dear governor Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa call every delta pdp senators, house of Rep members, Leaders of the party and have a close door meeting for ones? We all need each other in the game of Life talk more of politics.
“Let’s not also forget that if a PDP governorship candidate loses an election today, it’s not the candidate that lost the election, it is PDP as a party that lose election. When a business fails, it’s not the owner of the business that fails, it’s the Management of that business that failed.
“My question is who are the management of a political party? Give peace a chance! I remain a diehard PDP member” she declared.
