Commissioner Of Police Adesola Launches Familiarization Tour To Strengthen Community Relations in Delta

In a bid to enhance operational efficiency and foster stronger police-community relations, Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Aina Adesola, has commenced a familiarization tour of various Area Commands throughout the state.

The tour kicked off with a visit to the Asaba Area Command, where CP Adesola was warmly welcomed by Area Commander ACP Alex Udeze.

During this visit, the Commissioner engaged with senior officers, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and personnel, emphasizing the need for professionalism, discipline, and a proactive approach in policing.

He highlighted the importance of intelligence-led policing, respect for human rights, and delivering effective service to the community.

As part of his efforts to improve stakeholder collaboration, CP Adesola held engaging discussions with key community figures, including traditional rulers, community leaders, youth representatives, transport unions, and local business members.

He called for a united front in tackling security challenges faced by the Asaba metropolis.

In a significant gesture, the Commissioner also paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Obi (Prof) Epiphany Chibuogu Azinge, SAN, OON.

During this meeting, he expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the traditional institution and reaffirmed the police command’s commitment to working together to foster peace and public confidence in the community.

The familiarization tour will continue across other Area Commands, reflecting CP Adesola’s broader strategy to assess operational needs, enhance police morale, and promote community-oriented policing throughout Delta State.
