Delta state Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has appointed his immediate younger brother Joshua Onoriode Oborevwori as Chairman of the Delta state Sports Commission.
The younger brother who is popularly known as Onos in Warri axis and a hotelier, is said to be into sport and a business man.

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has forwarded names of 19 nominees for appointment into various Boards and Commissions to the State House of Assembly for screening and possible confirmation.
The affected Commissions and Boards, include; Delta State Sports Commission, Delta State Public Procurement Commission, Delta State House of Assembly Commission, Delta State Oil Area Producing Development Commission, Traffic Management Authority Board, Waste Management Board and Delta State Urban Water Board.
In separate letters conveying the Governor’s intent to the State House of Assembly and read by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor at Tuesday’s Plenary, the Governor named Joshua Onoriode Oborevwori as Chairman nominee for the Delta State Sports Commission, while Mr Okeremute Samuel Sodje, Henrietta Ihiekonye and Oghale Ofremu as members.
For the Delta State Public Procurement Commission, the Governor announced the nomination of David Igodo-AIG Rtd as Chairman, while Mr. Edwin Abraka is being nominated as Director General (DG) of the commission, while the duo of Comrade Venture Daniels and Fyncountry Goodluck Tamaraebi were nominated as members.
In another letter, Governor Oborevwori sought to confirm Mr. Sunday Ebireri as Chairman of the Delta State House of Assembly Service Commission, with Chief Moses Chukwudi Onowu as Member.
Similarly, the Governor announced the nomination of Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu as Executive Director, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), just as Mr. Matthew Mofe Edema and Ethe Enifome Juliet were being nominated as chairman and member of the Delta State Waste Management Board.
In same vein, Chief Joe Arausi was nominated for appointment as Chairman, Delta State Urban Water Board, just as Chief Peter Idion was nominated for appointment as Chairman, Delta State Traffic Management Authority while Okiemute Essien Benjamin is being nominated as Director of the traffic management authority.
All nominees have been directed to submit 35 copies of their curriculum vitae (C.V) to reach the office of the Clerk of the House, Mr. Otto Aghoghophia on or before Monday, December 2, and, appear for screening on Tuesday, December 3rd, this year.
