A ministerial nominee, sent by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu for screening and subsequent confirmation by the Godswill Akpabio-led Senate, Mr. Balarabe Abbas, has fainted during screening at the Senate chambers.
It was gathered that Abbas reportedly slumped while fielding questions from senators.
It was learnt that when he collapsed, at the Hallowed Chambers, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, shouted “give him water and sugar”.
Senator Akpabio thereafter ordered that all cameras be shut down while they made frantic efforts to resuscitate the ailing man before ordering journalists to vacate the premises.
