As we proceed into tomorrow’s Senate Primaries, I commend the loyalty, resilience, and unwavering commitment of our members toward the growth, stability, and electoral success of our great party.
The All Progressives Congress remains a formidable platform built on discipline, internal democracy, unity, and progressive leadership.
Consequently, every aspirant, supporter, and stakeholder must conduct themselves within the bounds of the party’s constitution, established guidelines, and democratic ethics.
Let it be clearly stated that the APC is not a platform for political intimidation, reckless utterances, unnecessary tension, or acts capable of undermining party cohesion.
The era of heating up the polity with threats, propaganda, and the beating of war drums must stop immediately.
Political actors and their supporters must desist from inflammatory rhetoric, careless accusations, media propaganda, and statements capable of inciting tension or creating unnecessary suspicion within the party.
Democracy thrives on healthy competition, not bitterness, intimidation, blackmail, or divisive narratives designed to overheat the polity. Leaders must speak with responsibility, while supporters must exercise restraint and decorum both online and offline.
At this critical moment, every utterance should promote peace, unity, mutual respect, and confidence in the integrity of the process rather than sow seeds of discord capable of weakening the collective strength and electoral fortunes of our great party.
The Senate Primaries are not a battlefield; they are a democratic mechanism for selecting credible candidates who will proudly carry the banner of our party into the general elections.
Therefore, all aspirants must approach the process with political maturity, restraint, and absolute respect for the outcome of a free and transparent exercise.
His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, remains firmly committed to a peaceful, credible, transparent, and rancour-free process, as already demonstrated during the successful House of Representatives Primaries held on Saturday, 16th May, 2026.
No individual ambition is greater than the collective interest of the APC in Delta State. Any action capable of causing disaffection, violence, or internal crisis will only weaken the party and undermine our common objective ahead of the general elections.
I therefore strongly call on all aspirants and their supporters to maintain peace, embrace fairness, demonstrate sportsmanship, and respect the sanctity of the democratic process before, during, and after the primaries.
Whoever emerges victorious should be seen, supported, and celebrated as the choice of the APC family and the collective flag bearer of our shared aspirations.
This is the time for unity, not division. This is the time for discipline, not provocation. This is the time for loyalty to the party, not personal desperation.
Let us close ranks, remain focused, and work together to consolidate the strength of our great party and secure overwhelming victory in the elections ahead.
United in purpose, discipline, and solidarity, APC Delta State shall continue to grow stronger and victorious.
