Today, Tuesday 13th June, 2023, has been most memorable in the annals of history of inaugurations at the Delta State House of Assembly, as dignitaries of no mean repute honour Hon. Engr. Emeka Nwaobi, member representing Aniocha North Constituency, as he was being inaugurated into the 8th Assembly.
Ranking among the dignitaries was the amiable Monarch of Issele-Uku Kingdom, HRM Agbogidi Obi Nduka JP, who was conspicuously commended by the new Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor for gracing the inauguration at the Assembly’s hallowed Chambers.
Agbogidi Nduka later had the opportunity of praying for his son, Hon. Nwaobi and other members of the State Assembly during reception at Nwaobi’s instance at the Legislators’ Quarters, pronouncing God’s unprecedented progress in the State through their lawmaking activities.
The crowd at the reception was mammoth, depicting the unfettered love of the people of Aniocha North and friends towards Hon. Nwaobi.
The Immediate Past Chief Whip of the Assembly, Hon. Princess Pat Ajudua, the Immediate Past Accountant General of Delta State, Mr. Cyril Agbele, the CEO of Kaycee Oil and Gas, Mr. Emma Odigie, the Akogwu-Omeanya of Issele-Azagba, Chief Ikemefune were all remarkably present at the Inauguration and Reception Ceremonies of Hon. Nwaobi.
Others included the Immediate Past DG of Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, Hon. Joan Onyemaechi (Ada Anioma), Immediate Past Commissioner for Youth Development, Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, Immediate Past SSG, Chief Patrick Ukah, Immediate Past Chairman of Delta State Waste Management Board, Mr. Emma Bazim Chinye, Immediate Past SSA to the Governor on Entertainment, Mr. Pius Kogos, Immediate Past SSA to the Governor on Special Duties, Comrade Kingsley Azuh, the CEO of Fidelity Fortune Group of Companies, Prince Ibe Ozoma, the PG of Issele-Uku Development Union, Mr. Ofordile Ugeh, a leading frontline grassroots politician, Hon. Isioma Peter Okolie, iconic Reggae musician, Kandy Sea and others too numerous to mention.
The ceremony was significantly spiced up by the huge musical entertainment provided by the daughter of the late legendary Reggae musician, Oge Kimono, Iyke Shalom and Lady Ouch, thereby taking the event from a mere political reception to a carnival of sort.
Moreover, the huge crowd comprising of Aniocha North constituents, guests and well-wishers was lavishly entertained with good food and enough to drink.
