Former Governor of Delta State and All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Delta North, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has challenged party leaders and supporters across the state to mobilise more than two million votes for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the 2027 general elections.

Okowa gave the charge on Thursday at the Delta APC campaign flag-off in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, where he called for a united political front and an aggressive grassroots mobilisation strategy to secure victory for the party at all levels.

He described the forthcoming election as a defining moment for Delta State, urging party faithful to demonstrate their commitment to the APC by delivering decisive electoral victories across the three senatorial districts.

According to him, the party must work collectively to secure victories for Tinubu and Oborevwori, as well as its candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and Delta State House of Assembly.

“Delta must speak with one voice in 2027,” Okowa declared.

“We must deliver over two million votes for President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori. That is our target, and it is achievable if we work together from our polling units,” he said.

The former governor cautioned Isoko political leaders and supporters against restricting the campaign to their immediate constituency, stressing that the task ahead required a collective commitment from all ethnic groups and political blocs in the state.

He maintained that the APC’s electoral strength would be determined by its ability to secure widespread support across Delta North, Delta South and Delta Central, rather than relying on isolated pockets of political influence.

Okowa further urged party members to intensify mobilisation at the grassroots, strengthen their presence in wards and communities, and ensure adequate representation at polling units to protect the party’s votes during the elections.

He emphasised that achieving the ambitious two-million-vote target would require sustained collaboration among party leaders, elected officials, stakeholders and grassroots mobilisers.

The APC chieftain expressed confidence that with unity, strategic coordination and effective mobilisation, the party could record a sweeping victory in Delta State in 2027.
