THE STORY: Suspected Ritualists Drain 17-Year-Old Girl’s Blood In Delta Governor’s Community

Pandemonium struck in Owa-Alero, the community of the Delta state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Ika north east local government area of the state, following the death of an underaged teenage girl.

Trouble started Saturday night when the 17 years girl left her parents home to buy snacks but never returned back alive.

It was alleged that the 17 years old girl was stabbed at the upper part of her ribs and a pipe inserted through an opening into her body from where her blood was said to have been drained.

The suspected ritual crime was carried by people who seemed to be specialists in the act as there was no drop of blood in the scene neither was any part of the girl’s body missing, an eye witness disclosed.

It was learnt that the late teenager’s body was discovered at a hip of sand a few meters from her house with a bottle of soft drink and a packet of chin chin close to her.

It was also gathered that the deceased was a virgin and had speech challenge which was suspected to have made her a victim of organized crime.

A source who pleaded anonymity described the incident as ungodly and unprecedented in the community and prayed that divinity would judge the perpetrators of the evil act.

At the time of filling this report, men of the Nigeria Police and other security agents were already at the scene conducting first hand investigations while an attempt to speak with the parents proved abortive.

At the time of filing this report, call and text message to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, were not replied.
