It was alleged that a stray bullet from the team hit the woman while she was in her shop, killing her on the spot.
Trouble started on Tuesday 22nd December 2020, when the Operation Delta Hawk team, were allegedly chasing after a young boy who was escaping from the State security outfit when they allegedly opened fire on him but stray bullet touched the woman whose shop is located around the government house.
It was learnt that her corpse has been abandoned by angry mob at the government house gate along Anwai road, Asaba.
It was gathered that the angry mob were dispersed while the body of the woman was not found when The Story, got there.
Commenting on the death of the woman, the Director General (DG), Young Nigerian Rights Organization, Comrade Victor Ojei, said: “the army is to defend our country, the police is to protect civilians.
“But when you now involved the army in internal affairs/ security, expect the worse”.
