THE STORY BREAKING NEWS: Delta Government To Setup 5-Member Committee To Check Police Brutality

Arising from the #ENDSARS protest, the Delta state government has announced a new measure to checkmate the activities of police officers in the state who engages in brutal actions against the citizens.

The state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, made the disclosure on the eve of on Tuesday 13th October 2020, through his verified Facebook account.

He said a five-member Police Committee with two representatives from the youth would be members of the Committee which aim is to attend to complaints from members of the public against the police.

Hear him: “As part of our measures to curb police brutality in Delta State, moving forward, we will be establishing a five-member Police Complaints Committee to address complaint against police officers.

“This Committee will have two youth representatives”, Okowa, announced.
