The police has confirmed the murder of the Secretary of Ughievwen Union, Olorogun Emmanuel Bikogha, by unknown gunmen in Effurun, Uvwie local government area of Delta State.
Contacted the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Edafe Bright, who confirmed the ugly incident said: ‘efforts are on to arrest the perpetrators”.
It was gathered that the prominent chief from Ughievwen Kingdom, Olorogun Emmanuel Bikogha, was shot dead by gunmen at about 7:10pm.
A palace colleague of the deceased, Chief Freeborn Ayoma who confirmed the death, stated that he was attacked by the unknown gunmen at the popular PTI junction on the night of Sunday 21st August 2022.
Details of what might have led to the killing of Olorogun Emmanuel Bikogha by the unknown gunmen is still sketchy at press time.
Olorogun Bikogho hails from Owawha town, Ughievwen Kingdom, happily married, humble and honest.
Until his death, he was the Secretary of Ughievwen Union.
He holds the traditional title of ‘echihigan’ of Ughievwen Kingdom. He will indeed be missed by the Ughievwen people for his humility and peaceful conduct.
