Bisola, an iron fabricator, from Osun State, was arrested by the security outfit while on routine patrol at about 6:00am in Agbor.
The suspect is presently cooling off at the Agbor Police headquarters after confessing to the crime.
Investigation conducted by the security group led by its Chairman, Comr. Monday Kiyem, revealed that the suspect had stolen the aluminum window nets numbering over 60 pieces from an uncompleted two storey building located at a street directly opposite Agbor Stadium road.
While interrogating the suspect, he confessed to the crime, saying that he has been a law abiding citizen but could not explain what led him to steal the property.
“I stole the window nets from the uncompleted build in Agbor with the intention of selling them to aboki people.
“The windows were tied together in the building, and I carried them with the help of a motorcyclist whom I paid to convey me to traffic light junction. I am deeply sorry for the criminal act which wasn’t really part of me,” the suspect explained.
Speaking to newsmen, Comrade Kiyem who double as Special Assistant to the state governor on Security Matters, said he got a call from one of his men guarding the traffic light junction and on arrival, they caught the suspect while trying to carry the property been kept by the road side.
He assured residents of their commitment to duty while warning residents against being careless of their properties and environment.
As at the time of filing this report, the suspect have been handed over to the police.
