Igbudu Community in Warri South Local Government Area was thrown into a state of mourning
It was learnt that the Defence Chairman was assassinated at Hausa Quarters, near Ogbemudia Road Junction by Warri-Sapele Road, Warri axis of the state.
Until his death, he was the eldest child of his father, who was the most elderly person in the Agbarha Warri Kingdom community of Igbudu.
The councillor representing Igbudu Ward in Warri south local government council, Hon. Franklyn Eyekpimi, confirmed the incident.
While condemning the ugly trend in the area, he appealed to the police to fish out and prosecute those behind the acts, describing it as dastardly.
The Ag. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright, who could not confirm the assassination claim, confirmed the death.
Said he: “He died, but assassination cannot be confirmed for now pls”.
It would be recall that the missing community’s Defence Secretary, Victor Midehire was found dead with bruises on his face and body with his legs and hand tied floating in the Warri River on Friday, May 21, 2021.
