A 23-year-old Godspower Adigheti, of Oramudu quarters who inflicted machete cut on his 22-year-old girlfriend, identified as Gift Oloku, leading to her death has been arrested by the police in Ozoro, the administrative headquarter of Isoko north local government area of Delta State.
Parading the suspect alongside others at the Police Command on Monday July 18th 2022, the Commissioner of Police, Ari Mohammed Ali, disclosed that the victim was taken to the hospital where she was confirmed dead.
According to the police boss, on 16th July 2022, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Ozoro Division, received a distress call that the suspect, inflicted machete cut on his victim who happened to be his girlfriend, Gift Oloku, who was later confirmed dead at the hospital.
Mr. Ali, disclosed that findings revealed that a fisticuff ensued between the both of them over a disagreement.
The Suspect claimed that, she damaged his Iphone 11 PRO MAX while they were fighting, angered in the process, he used a machete on her, disclosing that “the suspect is in custody and investigation is ongoing”.
