Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm congratulations to Dame Nkem Okwuofu, former Chairman of the Delta State Civil Service Commission, on the occasion of her 75th birthday anniversary.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor described Dame Okwuofu as a dedicated public servant, loyal party stalwart, and a shining example of selfless leadership.
Governor Oborevwori lauded the nurse-turned-politician for her decades of unwavering commitment to the unity and development of Delta State, noting that her influence and contributions continue to resonate across generations.
“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta State, I extend heartfelt congratulations to you, our beloved mother and leader, Dame Nkem Okwuofu, as you mark your 75th birthday,” the Governor said.
He highlighted her inspiring journey from a healthcare professional to a frontline political leader, commending her for distinguished service as a commissioner in various ministries and her steadfast commitment to grassroots development.
Oborevwori also cited the Obomkpa–Ukwu-Nzu Road and erosion control projects among the many legacies she attracted to her community, emphasizing her role in bringing growth and stability to her constituency.
“You have earned the respect and admiration of many through your dedication, brilliance, and courage,” the Governor added. “Your life is a testimony of service, resilience, and impact.”
As she celebrates this milestone, the Governor prayed for continued good health, strength, and many more years of meaningful service to God and humanity.
