Information reaching The Story, has it that a structure under construction ahead of the National Sports Festival scheduled to hold at the Stephen Keshi International Stadium, Asaba, has collapsed.
Although, the cause of the ugly development is yet to be ascertained, it was learnt that it would not be unconnected to the rush in the construction to be able to meet the deadline for delivery of the project for use.
The minister of Youth and Sports development, Sunday Akin Dare, last week inspected ongoing projects at the stadium where he expressed satisfaction at the speed of work.
It would be recall that on 20th October 2022, a building housing the former Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), opposite City Complex, collapsed in Asaba, Oshimili south local government area of Delta State collapse
The current building collapse, would be the second less than a month.
