An unidentified young lady, has caused stirs on social media after she wrote that she would not get married to a man whose mother is still alive.
The post on the Facebook page of one Uche Cynthia Onuorah reads: “Before I Get Married To Any Guy, The Mother Has To Die”.
The post with over 900 comments, have mixed reactions from social media users as some attacked her while other who did not entirely supported her called for caution as she might be facing tough time with her would be mother-in-law.
A commentator, Lawrentta Oluwanifemi, said: “I am not condemning her at all, you might have the strength to bear yours but you don’t know what her mum must have passed through and even the kids being girls with the mother-in-law.
“Do we agree to the fact that some mothers are going through hell because they don’t have a male child, or the mother turns out to become a rival, dictatorship? Be in her shoes before you judge her. May God help her to meet a woman and mother that will change her perspective.
“The cases of mother in law wahala too plenty. Men abeg, stop dey give us emotional abuse over mama, we suppose be the number 1 after wedding. Together we will take care of our Parents. NA BEG I BEG
“To our Future Mother in law, treat your daughter in law like your daughter. It should not be Mother and Daughter-in-love”.
Daniel Roselyn Ashy, wrote, “That means u go die before any of ur sons marry be that o”.
While Bakare Oluwatosin Emmanuel, stated, “Sincerely is really oo, that’s what my fiance told me and I so much love her should I continue with her or I should let her go.. advice me please, am not joking with this”.
Another Facebook user, Oyi Chosen Emmanuel, noted: “what if you gave birth to your own children will you die before they get married? No matter what you have been through the death of mother inlaw is not the solution the solution is tag in Christ go to God in prayer
