A statement on Friday June 4th 2021, released by Mr. Godfrey Osakwe, Vice Chairman of the Delta state Chapter of NIPR, stressed that “Step by Step we are moving on. This new position is an exciting feat, and we are grateful to God Almighty and to His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for finding our Chairman, worthy of this appointment”.
Speaking further the proactive Vice Chairman of the institute, a devoted Christian prayed that “our Chairman, Ukah, will shine more and do us proud in this new role than ever before.”
Mr. Osakwe also congratulated the institute tagging it “as a collective victory”.
These commendations came shorty after a release to the public signed by the current Head of Service (HoS), and acting SSG, Mr. Reginald Bayoko, stating that “the Gov, His Excellency, Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has approved the appointment of Chief Patrick Ukah mnipr as secretary to the Delta State Government adding that the inaugural date is Monday 7th June at unity hall in government alongside 9 other new appointees.
Chief Ukah Patrick, an ever capable hand in the private and public sector was the former Delta state Commission for Basic and Education, for two years which came after he was the Delta State Commissioner for Information, an office he occupied for four years in the Governor Okowa’s Stronger Delta administration.
