The supplication was offered on Sunday May 9th 2021, by the Warri south Chairman of the group, Dr. (Barr) U. K Mariere JP, during the 50th Golden Anniversary of Samuel Jereton Mariere, former governor, Mid-western region (now Edo/Delta) States between1964-1966.
Barr. Mariere, who lifted sand from the earth prayed that God would give the industrialist success in his political sojourn to Osadebay House, come 2023.
He noted symbolically that same earth that produced Jereton Mariere, as former Mid-western governor, would also produce Barr. Gbagi, as governor of Delta State come 2023.
According to him, Gbagi, would not canvass for votes, rather the electorate would willingly give their votes to him at the polls.
While noting that Urhobo land has suffered untold hardship, he asserted that Gbagi would bring the needed liberation to the land with his industrialization ideas.
He called on Evwreni Community to support him for the needed development and democratic dividends to the people.
Meanwhile, he lamented that dignitaries invited to the 50th Golden Anniversary, including the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and Mr. Godwin Obaseki, of Delta and Edo states respectively didn’t honour the invitation.
