Investigation revealed that the meeting which was held on Wednesday 16th December 2020, was to deliberate on the forthcoming local government elections but the PDP elders meeting was allegedly disrupted by the youthful Commissioner
It was gathered that the Commissioner who insisted that primary should be conducted for aspirants, allegedly stormed out of the meeting when the deliberation was not falling in his favour.
Sources said the Commissioner displayed a strange character, totally alien to Aniocha people who are known for civil conducts and respect for constituted authorities.
It was gathered that the act of the Commissioner during the PDP meeting has been reverberating across the local government area and far beyond.
A reliable source at the meeting said the Commissioner while addressing the elders was allegedly barking and shouting down everybody in an alleged fit of uncontrollable outbursts.
“His rage was so loud and disruptive, threatening peace and security.
“His employer is generally regarded as a highly responsible and disciplined governor”.
The height of his “unruly fury”, according to the source was “When he walked out of the meeting to the utter bewilderment of all the participants”, a source said.
Not a few of the elders were shell shocked that the young man could be so cheeky and unguarded.
It was learnt that for his current transient position, Egwunyenga, was not qualified to attend the meeting of the College of Aniocha leaders being an unknown figure and political greenhorn with no established track record.
Impeccable sources disclosed that until his appointment, he was engaged in menial job at Onitsha, Anambra State, before the state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, appointed him Commissioner.
According to them, “This misguided youth needs to be called to order as show of shame is not in Anioma culture”.
Present at the meeting were highly respected Anioma political leaders including a former Deputy governor, Chief Benjamin Elue, former federal lawmaker and billionaire philantranpist ,Hon. prince Ned Nwoko.
Chairman, Delta State Civil Service Commission cum mother of government, Chief Patience Nkem Okwuofu foldly addressed as Agwunwanyi and matriarch of Delta of politics, the member representing Aniocha north in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Hon. Emeka Nwaobi, representatives of Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Minority Leader, House of Representatives and Chief Ada kachikwu among others.
At press time, calls put across to his cellphone were not responded to while text message sent to him was not replied.
