Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the former minister of Niger Delta Affairs under the president Goodluck Jonathan, Elder, Godsday Orubebe, has allegedly perfected plans to dump the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) for the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State.
Also, the former Chairman, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, Ngozi Olejeme, fondly called “Oleje Money”, has concluded plans to cross carpet to APC.
A post by Collins Uduaghan Tosan on Facebook, reads: “ELDER GODSDAY ORUBEBE former Minister of Niger Delta and NGOZI OLEJEME former Chairman of Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund are now officially members of the All Progressives Congress (APC)”.
Similarly, a release congratulating the newly sworn in Delta State Chairman of APC, Omeni Sobotie by Comrade Ughere Daniel, Publicity Secretary, All Progressives Congress, Patani LGA, welcomed Elder Godsday Orubebe, for decamping to the party.

PATANI APC CONGRATULATES ELDER OMENI SOBOTIE ON HIS INAUGURATION AS DELTA STATE CHAIRMAN, WELCOMES HON GODDEY ORUBEBE INTO PARTY
THE Patani local government chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has congratulated the very distinguished State Chairman of the Party, Elder Omeni Sobotie on his inauguration and official swearing in today at the party national secretariat in Abuja.
Describing Don Sobotie as an asset to the party, the lga chapter led by her workaholic chairman, Hon. Julius Oruma, restates the commitment of the LGA to the one and only state leadership of Elder Omeni Sobotie whose vision and motivation is centered on retrieving the state from the clueless administration of the PDP.
The lga chapter has also assured the state chairman on the reconfiguration of the political system in the LGA, noting that the era of blind followership without the accrueable dividend has overstayed it’s welcome.
The party at the LGA further use the opportunity to welcome our dear brother and patriot, Former Minister of Niger Delta, Hon Godddey Orubebe who has officially joined the Progressives. It shows signs of victory ahead as we prepare to receive prominent sons and daughters from the PDP in the coming days.
