Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has sacked two of his aides last year for secretly working with one of the governorship aspirant in the 2023 election, Olorogun David Edebvie.
The news of their dismissal filtered into town on 12th December 2021.
The affected aides are Fred Ofome, former Chairman, Ika south local government area, until his sack, was an Executive Secretary to the governor and Mr. John Alleh, a Senior Special Adviser (SSA) from Ika northeast.
The duo are allegedly working for the governorship campaign of Olorogun Edebvie.
It was learnt that Ofume was appointed by Olorogun Edebvie, to coordinate for Ika federal Constituency.
When contacted on 18th of December 2021, for confirmation, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the governor, Mr. Olisa Ifeajika, denied knowledge of it, “I am not aware of that”, he said.
Meanwhile, a source close to the corridors of power, confirmed the development.
