Ahead of the 2023 governorship election in Delta State, a heavyweight cum acting Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogheneluemu Sylvester Imonina, Esq., has resigned.
Imonina, in a letter dated 18th January 2022, and made available to The Story, disclosed that he resigned from the party due to unpalatable circumstances.
According to Imonina, in the letter addressed to the state chairman through his Ward chairman, Isoko north Ward 11, Ozoro Ward 3 reads: “Due to the state of affairs of All Progressives Congress, Delta State chapter, I, Ogheneluemu Sylvester Imonina, herein resign my membership of the party and my position as the acting State Publicity Secretary.
He thanked the leadership of the party at the local governments level, his kinsmen for finding him worthy to serve them by way of adding his quota to the development of the party.
He equally appreciated those who in one way or the other supported him while he held sway as acting State Publicity Secretary of the party.
Until his resignation, Imonina, was a thorn on the flesh of the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), and the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration.
