Former Senator, who represented Delta north senatorial district in the National Assembly (NASS), Senator Patrick Osakwe, is dead.
News of his death filtered into town on Tuesday midnight.
The deceased represented Delta north from 1999-2011.

Before his death, Osakwe had admonished the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and Deltans in general that Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, leading governorship aspirant in the 2023 governorship election, has paid his dues, “It is time for Deltans to pay him back”, he said at his Asaba residence when Gbagi, paid him a consultative visit.
