…Says Ibori Is A Factor In Delta Politics
As mixed reactions continue to trail the posture of the Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District in the National Assembly (NASS), Senator James Manager, the immediate past president, Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Oweilaemi Pereotubo, Esq., has rose to his defense.
Citing 1Peter Chapt. 5:5, Barr. Oweilaemi, posited that “Culturally Sen. JE Manager is right, Spiritually Ebiowokedoubowei is right, Politically Agbanidodo is right”.
The former IYC President and one of the forces for Ijaw governorship consultation, noted that nothing was wrong with the Senator kneeling down before Chief James Onanefe Ibori, former governor of the state.
He argued further that it was only tactical for political office seekers to show some great level of humility to gain acceptance, stressing that it would also determine the degree of prayers such a politician would receive.
Hear him: “In our clime today, the wisdom to apply the stoop to conquer tactics is very key here if you must go far.
“Here in Delta State, there is nobody that honestly want to be the governor in 2023 that will not consult the Odidigborigbo of Africa in respective of your ethnic or political inclinations/background.
“However, when you meet him, how you decide to stay before him determines the degree of your political blessings, trust and confidence.
“In anyway, the choice not to kneel down is yours. Or to kneel down with only one leg is yours too. And to kneel down with both legs is completely yours also. But remember in politics, every step you take counts either for or against.
Continuing, he said: “As the political atmosphere gathers momentum, we shall be greeted with the known and unknown types of prayer positions of the gladiators who will surely visit our own Chief James Onenife Ibori, former governor of Delta State”.
Meanwhile, Oweilaemi, stated that although, Ibori cannot assume the place of God, “But he is a factor in Delta politics”, he added.
It would be recall that the social media was agog on Friday July 23rd 2021, showing picture of Senator Manager, kneeling down before the former governor.
