The daughter of the former governor of Delta State, Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, has clinched the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) ticket for Ethiope Federal Constituency come 2023.
Ibori’s daughter pulled 46 votes against the incumbent, Ben Igbakpa, who got 22 votes.
“The only candidate Okowa and I were on same page was Ben Igbakpa. Till this very morning, Okowa’s instruction was for Ben to be voted in by delegates, this I can tell you for free.
“The contest was between Ibori and Okowa NOT Ben Igbakpa and Erhitake”, Fejiro Oliver, alleged.
Meanwhile, the former Commissioner for Water Resources, Evelyn Oboro, equally pulled 45 votes against her opponent, Gbinije, who scored 36 votes.
