The governorship hopeful made the statement on Sunday 10th January 2021, during a stakeholders meeting with the people of Aniocha/Oshimili in Asaba.
He insisted that he should be asked to resign if he fails to fulfill the campaign promises of establishing 100 industries as governor come 2023, maintaining that he already knows the locations where he would establish the 100 companies.
According to him, he is the oldest PDP Chieftain that should fly the flag of the party with the ability to develop the state with his entrepreneurship skills and someone with businesses across the country.
He disclosed that his administration would be all inclusive, as he would not develop one Senatorial District of the state to the detriment of the others.
He maintained that he would contest the governorship race against all odds, pointing out that blackmail would do no one good as power must naturally shift to Delta Central Senatorial District.
“Let anybody in Delta State who have a better record than I do, come forward. Let us present ourselves, our particulars, what we are and what we want to do for the people of the state. I will be glad that people of character, integrity, with transparent wealth and people who have been able to buy one vehicle rather than government money”, noting that the 2023 election would be very interesting.
He told the crowd that he was more than prepared for the governorship battle in the last eight years, regretting that the state and the country at large have no plans for senior citizens just as he challenged his opponents to come to the round table and present what they have to the people.
“A state and a country is an institution that makes provisions for its seniors and its youths. This particular state and this country we have come from does not have any statistics for the youths or for seniors. It is therefore unbelievable that every year and after four years some people who are colourful or colourless would sit-down that they want to govern you and at the end of the day you benefit small money not good enough to have food and you sell your birthrights and at the end of the day, you cry”.
He charged the people not to look in the direction of the man who could not provide employment for the people, had no hope of what to eat, “do not forget, your governor is a mirror of what you all will be. So, were you to choose a nonentity, a criminal, someone that has no character and someone that cannot take this state from one point to another? You are wasting your time”, he sounded.
