He said the just concluded governorship election in Edo State, would be described as the best election the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has conducted in recent times.
Chief Amori, a one-time Senior Political Adviser to the immediate goverrnor of the state, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, also celebrated Edo State people for speaking with one voice by reelecting Godwin Obaseki, as their governor.
According to him, “Let me first express my thanks & appreciation to Mr President for conducting a free and fair election with infinitesimal disruption which couldnt affect the outcome of election results so far.
Chief Amori who was also a one-time Commissioner for Education and Water Resources under Chief James lbori said: “I also want to place it on record that this is the best election INEC has conducted in recent times. Kudos to Inec. I congratulate the people of Edo state for their peaceful conduct during and after the casting of their votes. This is real democracy in action.
“In any election, there must be a winner and also a loser. So far, the Pdp candidate, H.E Mr Godwin N.Obaseki is coasting home to Victory in 16 out of the 18 local Government council areas in Edo state.
The PDP faithful appealed to governor Obaseki and the party not to run politics of bitterness rather extend hands of fellowship to his opponents in the election.
Said him: “For me I advise that he and the PPD should be magnanimous in victory. This expected victory is of God and not Man. He has weathered all the storms and he should embrace all those that contested against him in other to enhance democracy.
Chief Amori, who is currently, Chairman Asaba Capital Territory Development Agency and Political Adviser to PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, hinted: “For the PDP team led by His Excellencies, Governor Nysom Wike, Arthur Okowa, Seyin Makinde and many others, I say CONGRATULATIONS to our National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus and members of the National Working Committee and indeed all the PDP members in the world for this sweet Victory.
“To God we give all the glory”, Chief Amori, said.
