In what seemed like an aristocratic battle between two brothers, Ogbueshi Paul Sualeze Eluaka, has humbled his nephew, Hon. Tony Ebodi Eluaka, at the All Progressives Congress (APC), Houses of Assembly rerun election for Oshimili South State Constituency ticket.
The Eluakas had been embroiled in very intense political tussle, which had drawn the enlarged Eluaka family and the political class in Asaba, capital of Delta State into entrenched blocs.
Our reporter learnt that the leadership of the APC in the state had sought a middle ground for one of them to step down to pave way for a concensus arrangement.
At the first primary poll held on Friday, they both polled 27 votes respectively from a total of 55 accredited delegates.
However at the Saturday’s rerun, Ogbueshi Sualeze Eluaka polled 24 delegate votes to defeat his nephew, Hon. Tony Eluaka, who garnered 14 votes.
