DELTA LG ELECTIONS: DSIEC To Embark On Personal Verification Of Candidates

Ahead of the March 6th 2021, local government elections, the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC), has concluded plans to verify the particulars of candidates.

A release made available to newsmen on Friday 8th January 2021, signed by the Chairman of the Commission, Chief (Barr.) Mike Ogbodu (CP. Rtd.), disclosed that the exercise would last for three days.

“It is hereby announced for the information of our stakeholders, particularly registered political parties and their candidates that the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) is scheduled to carry out verification of personal particulars submitted by candidates vying for various elective positions in the March 6, 2021 Local Government Council General election in the State”.

The verification excercise which is slated to commence on Monday, 11th January, 2021 through Wednesday, 13th January, 2021, would hold at the Commission’s Headquarters in Asaba.

He called on candidates to be on their facemask as the excercise would begin from 9:00am to 4:00pm daily.

The exercise is shared into groups begining from Monday 11th January 2021.

Group 1: Burutu, Bomadi and Patani.

Group 2: Warri North, South-West and Warri South.

Group 3: Isoko South and Isoko North

Tuesday, 12th January, 2021- 9:00am -4:00pm.

Group 1: Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Uvwie.

Group 2: Ethiope West, Okpe and Sapele.

Group 3: Udu and Ethiope East.

Wednesday, 13th January, 2021.

Group 1: Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West and Ukwani.

Group 2: Oshimili South, Oshimili North and Aniocha South.

Group 3: Ika North East, Ika South and Aniocha North.
