Thirteen Councilors of Ukwuani Legislative Arm have impeached the Leader of the House, Hon. Clarus Osaeliogor, over alleged incompetence.
Trouble started on Tuesday November 9th 2021, at plenary when a member of the House, Hon. Enefazu Frank Roy, representing Ward 16, moved a vote of no confidence on the Leader.
The motion was seconded by Hon. Enyi Sunday, representing Ward 11.
A post on Facebook by one Balogun Wasiu Shanter wrote: “Information reaching us has it that the leader of Ukwuani 7th legislative Assembly, Hon. Clarus Osaeliogor has been impeached today being the 9th of November 2021 by thirteen (13) out of the nineteen (19) councillors.
“The reasons for the impeachment as given was due to incompetence, high handedness, conversion of impress and others.
“The motion for the vote of no confidence was moved by Hon. Enefazu Frank Roy and seconded by hon. Enyi and was unanimously supported by other eleven (11) councillors”.
