A lawmaker in the Isoko South Legislative Arm, Mr. Edafe Akpaeta, has been accused of using thugs to intimidate, harass and beat perceived opponents in Olomoro community of the state.
An Indigene of the community, Comrade Orerue Emonena, who narrated how he narrowly survived attack on him by the lawmaker, who doubles as the Supervising Councilor over community election, disclosed that he was attacked over his post on social media.
Emonena in post on facebook said, Hon.Edafe Akpaeta, Supervising Councillor in Isoko-South Local Government Area, led his political thugs, Master Ojah Clifford, Akpaeta Emuobor and two other boys to attacked me in the Akokotu Primary School in Egbo Community.
According to the post in ‘Olomoro Telescope’, an Advocacy Page, alleges that the supervising councillor led his boys to attack him on an issue he commented on over an outrageous price tag on community election forms in Olomoro.
Efforts to get reaction from Akpaeta at press time, failed.

Following the recent post made by Barr.Fred Isigba, concerning the outrageous money being placed on the buying of the Olomoro Development Council Presidential Nomination form to be one hundred and ten thousand naira (#100,000 for sitting allowance, #10,000 for the form, #300,000 to Ekretu family. Which we all critised here).
On Saturday, Hon.Edafe Akpaeta, Supervising Councillor in Isoko-South Local Government Area, led his political thugs, Master Ojah Clifford, Akpaeta Emuobor and two other boys to attacked me in the Akokotu Primary School in Egbo Community.
The attack was severe, injuries inflicted on me internally and externally, am alerting the Olomoro Telescope and the entire Olomoro Kingdom because the issue was brought here by Egbo Community people and the crime I committed was to comment on the post that the community should not be traded with.
As I typed, information reaching me states that the money has been reduced from four hundred and ten thousand naira to thirty thousand naira. Advocacy won.
My father and my mother is from Ukoli Community, I am not a coward, I can equally fight and do those things you think I can’t do, I want you people to know that Hon.Edafe Akpaeta who is power drunk that is known for slapping people that are older than him is on a mission of sending thugs to fight anyone who opposes his view. Since on Saturday till date, not even a word from him and his cohort.
As a human rights activist, I will inform my people about this incident that has played out.
If you as an honourable can’t make peace, what kind of leadership are you giving the general public? If you know that what you were doing was right and constitutional, why did your people bring down the amount of the money to #30,000 as against the #410,000 posted by your Egbo People?
If this ugly trend is not stopped, it will get to a point where people will be attacked in their homes or at any place to be vehemently dealth with or possibly be killed just because they are commenting on post here criticizing those in government constructively.
