Meanwhile, there was palpable tension at the Commission’s office over delay by the Commission to announce the final results from the Chief Returning Officers.
The Commission had fixed 2:00pm on Sunday March 7th 2021, for the official announcement of winners for the Chairmanship election across the 25 local government areas but at 3:51, the Commission was yet to be seated for unknown reasons.
The Returning Officers have expressed sadness that a meeting slated for 2:00pm had not commenced, describing the attitude of DSIEC as worrisome.
But it was learnt that the management staff were in a crucial meeting for a yet to be known issue.
Over 20 media houses including electronic medium have mounted their tripods, set their microphones and cameras awaiting the commencement of the programme when DSIEC foot dragged till about 4:15, when the announcement started.
