Ex-minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, has described leading governorship aspirant in Delta State, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, as a man of character with the capacity to lead the State come 2023.

Orubebe, said Delta State needs men who can speak the truth to power no matter whose ox is gored.

The former minister stated this Sunday March 3rd 2022, when his former colleague, Gbagi, visited him at Ogbobagbene, Burutu local government area of the state.

While pointing out that Gbagi, was eminently qualified to govern the state and replicate what he did at the federal level in the state, he said Delta is a complex state that should not be left in the hands of “errand boys”.

“Kenneth Gbagi, you are qualified. You have the character, capacity, commitment and passion to drive this state forward. You can do it” he reiterated.

He charged the incumbent, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, not to allow the state to go back to years of backwardness, “I hope the governor and Deltans will see what I am also seeing.

“When were ministers, we made sacrifices for the country. That selfless service is what Gbagi is bringing to the Delta State.

“By the grace of God, it’s not what we want to eat or what we want for ourselves that we are looking for. But a living legacy for our children and children yet unborn.
